THE ESTATE

Terroir : Clay-limestone, silt.
Grape varieties : 85 % Syrah, 15 % Grenache.
Age of the vines : 60 years old.
Wine culture : Tillage without chemical weeding, organic amendements, control of yields, sustainable agriculture.
Yield : 40 hl/ha.

WINEMAKING PROCESS

Wine raising : Pre-fermentation maceration, manual punching down, 4 weeks vinification and maturing in oak barrels during 1 year.

TASTING

A wine with a great and deep ruby colour. The nose is very expressive and it unveils some notes of violet and candied black fruits. On the palate, this wine is incredibly elegant with aromas of Blackberry and toasted notes. A beautiful volume in the mouth with refined tannins that make this wine suitable for laying down.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRING

Syagria Red wine will show all its expression served with red meat with character such as big or small game. Perfect with mushrooms : truffles, porcini, morels. To treat your taste buds, we suggest you to have this king of  Red wine with “deer in morel ‘sauce and creamy polenta”.
